Dr. Sonya Smith, a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Howard University, engages an elementary school class during Journey through the Universe in Kansas City, KS/MO, February 2004.   A team of 5 Visiting Researchers spent a week presenting to 4,300 students in 30 schools across five metro-area school districts.  110 presentations were aimed at grades 3, 5, and 7 in the participating Missouri schools, and grades 4, 6, 7, and 8 for the Kansas schools.
